EcoGun AS MAN External Charge
EcoGun AS MAN External Charge
The EcoGun AS MAN EC by Dürr is a professional electrostatic manual spray gun developed for precision coating processes using non-flammable paints. The gun uses a dedicated high-voltage controller (EcoHT 80) to externally charge the paint particles, significantly improving wrap-around and transfer efficiency compared to standard air-spray technologies. Because of its robust construction, ergonomic design, and CSA Class I Div 1 certification, the EcoGun AS MAN EC is ideal for industrial production environments with strict safety and quality demands.
The gun is intended exclusively for hand-guided electrostatic coating within a properly ventilated spray booth.
Electrostatic charging takes place externally through a cable connection from the EcoHT 80 controller. Compressed air supports atomization, while the gun’s air cap, nozzle, and flow-control system ensure precise spray characteristics.
Key factors affecting the spray pattern include:
Air cap alignment
Material quantity
Spray width adjustment
These are all fine-tuned directly on the gun for optimal results.
30 kV DC maximum output voltage
80 µA maximum current
Stable charging with clear visual feedback via HV indicator on the gun
Reduced paint consumption due to improved transfer efficiency
Three air caps available (HN400, HN600, HN800) for different flow rates and widths
Smooth, uniform atomization
Fine spray-width control and adjustable material flow
The gun is approved for:
CSA Class I, Division 1, Group D
Operation in industrial environments with non-flammable coating materials
